Ganga Quest

The Ganga Quest, an online national quiz centered on the Ganga, rivers, and environmental awareness, originated in 2019 as an educational endeavor to enlighten children and youth about the River Ganga, supporting the Namami Gange initiative by the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India. From 36,000 participants in 2019 to over a million in 2020, the surge in engagement underscores the growing enthusiasm for the Ganga Quest within just a year. Serving as both a competitive arena for knowledge enhancement and an awareness drive, the bilingual quiz in Hindi and English is jointly organized by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) and the TREE Craze Foundation (TCF). It not only engages participants but also aims to evaluate awareness levels, knowledge gaps, and participation patterns, ultimately fostering public involvement and instilling a sense of ownership among children and youth towards rivers and the Ganga. Individuals aged 10 and above are encouraged to join the quest!
